Creating a space for personal growth in therapy begins with the development of a safe therapeutic relationship. My approach offers a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental active listening space where you can take time to explore your experience. This allows us to work together to define areas that may require our attention first and to check in on how you are experiencing your internal and external environment. Doing this helps to form a clearer picture of environmental, emotional, physical, cognitive, and behavioural events in your experience and how you currently manage and respond to them.
Sometimes the way we adapted to cope with our experiences no longer serves us and can keep us feeling stuck. When we become aware of where these adaptations come from and why we developed them we can learn to identify them in action. This can help us to develop, test and apply new adaptive ways of coping and responding to our environment which help us grow.
My focus is to help you to explore your internal and external experience, to find the meaning behind your adaptations and to help you to discover what you need to help you grow and reach where you want to be in life. If you would like to reach out but feel a little unsure call, email or text and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
