My counselling approach combines aspects of Person Centred Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Psychodynamic Therapy. As a counsellor my job is to help you to both make sense of what is happening to you and to find a way to live with the challenges you are facing. I strongly believe that the best way to do this is to create a safe relationship where you don’t feel judged and can explore all of your feelings. My counselling approach combines aspects of Person Centred Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Psychodynamic Therapy. As a counsellor my job is to help you to both make sense of what is happening to you.
I have worked for a number of years counselling people from the LGBTQ+ community and understand the added complexities that this community faces. I am also interested in helping people who are living with loss whether this is a person, a career, a beloved pet, your sense of self or another form of loss.
I had 20 years experience of working in a stressful corporate environment before making the decision to leave and train to be a counsellor. I'm very interested in helping people make big life changes. Since leaving the corporate world my professional background has been working in the charity sector with people with substance use issues &offending behaviour.
