Through our child & adult experiences, we often ‘take on’ other people's views of ourselves, meaning we have beliefs about ourselves that are not true to who we really are. For eg-I will only be liked if I do what others want/I cannot cope with life because I am weak/why can’t I be like others, or you notice your behaviour changes when you are around people. We can adopt negative behavioural patterns that influence the way we relate to ourselves & others, impacting the way we live and inform us of who we are.
Being able to explore the root, or the core of why we have not developed to our full potential & talk about our hurt & painful inner parts of ourselves can be the start of our own healing. I am a warm & empathic relational and developmental therapist, offering a confidential, safe space for you to share your worries, challenges and experiences.
