You might be feeling low, anxious, stressed, or noticing that familiar patterns keep showing up in your relationships or in how you relate to yourself. You might be unsure why life feels so hard, or sense that something isn’t quite working. Perhaps a loss or significant transition has made life feel unbearable or empty. Often, people want a space to reflect with someone else, to feel listened to, engaged with, and genuinely heard. From there, it can become possible to gain awareness of what’s going on for you, and begin to approach your life and choices with compassion and intention.
I work in a collaborative and engaged way. We make space for uncomfortable experiences and feelings, and explore questions of meaning, values, and direction. We might also consider how earlier events or circumstances shape your life now. I aim to be warm and honest in the work, offering reflection and gentle challenge where it feels important.
Starting therapy can feel exposing or uncertain, especially if you aren’t sure what you need or whether therapy will help. I offer a non-judgemental and open space where you don’t have to perform or have the right words. We can begin wherever you are and take time to explore memories, feelings or questions that may have felt difficult to approach elsewhere.

I often work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, and life transitions. A session might involve slowing things down and exploring how these challenges show up for you - in your body, thoughts, emotions and relationships. Rather than trying to "fix" symptoms, we focus on understanding what they might be expressing, so you can respond with greater awareness and self-trust.

Emily creates space where clients can bring what's difficult to articulate elsewhere. She balances warmth with honest challenge, staying with complexity rather than rushing toward resolution. Her approach helps clients face what is with clarity and courage

I work relationally, meaning how we relate to each other is an important part of therapy. What feels easy, difficult, or meaningful between us can reflect patterns in your wider life or patterns of relating. Together, we'll explore this with honesty and care, helping you better understand yourself and build more fulfilling relationships.
