My name is Emily and I am a therapist working in Oxford. I work with adult individuals seeking counselling for a wide variety of issues. I aim to offer a welcoming, confidential and professional space in which you feel safe to explore any psychological and emotional problems you are experiencing. I hold counselling sessions online via Zoom, so no matter where you are based, you can access counselling from the comfort of your own home. I work with adults of all ages, cultural backgrounds and sexualities who are facing a broad range of challenges.
I am trained in the Pluralistic approach which encompasses the presence of the Person-centred approach, the practical tools of CBT and the analytical skills of the Psychodynamic approach. This way of working means that I can tailor sessions exactly to the requirements of each individual client, depending on their unique personality and life circumstances.
I will bring congruence, empathy, and unconditional positive regard to each counselling session and always endeavour to create a non-judgemental and respectful space, in which my clients feel able to openly explore any difficulties they are having.
