Play is the child’s nature medium of self-expression – It is essential for development. In the play therapy sessions, the child has opportunity to ‘play out’ their feelings and problems. The intervention has a significant impact on how children view themselves and their future success as students, members of the community, family members, and human beings. Children sometimes experience difficulties and present challenging behaviours. I may contribute to their soul’s playfulness and lightness through the play. Therapeutic intervention plan using non-directive and Integrative Holistic Play Therapy.
Children would have access to standard play kit with all mediums is to support children who have these difficulties or emotional issues in a non-directive play therapy that allows a child to engage in free play and invites the child to explore however they need to. The child has opportunity to ‘play out’ their feelings and problems with a therapeutic object.
My professional stance, which is supported by the PTUK ethical framework, is reflected through the play therapy sessions with children, interrelationships with parents and other professionals linked with the children. I am a friendly, helpful and polite play therapist.
