We all have times when we feel that life is getting on top of us. This is a natural part of all our realities, and our movement through these times is part of our overall growth and development as a person. Often we can successfully negotiate these difficult times or events ourselves, but sometimes we may decide that we need some support. I specialise in working on a one-to-one basis with young people and adults from a wide variety of backgrounds. I have a wealth of experience in education and work with young people, families and adults as both a teacher and a counsellor. I have also bee a volunteer counsellor at an NHS Trust.
I am qualified with a Post Graduate Diploma in Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling. I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and subscribe to their Code of Ethics and Professional Practice. I also hold a current, enhanced DBS certificate for my work with young people and children.
I will spend time with you in the relaxed, comfortable setting of my therapy room. I will commit this time to listening without making judgement, in order to develop a holistic understanding of you as a unique person. We will work together in confidentiality so that we can further understand what has brought you to counselling.
