Hello I'm Liz, if you are seeking respectful and compassionate counselling from an experienced person in a calm and pleasant setting, then I'm pleased you've found me. At the heart of my practice is a belief in the importance of the therapist - client relationship. Therefore, I provide an emotionally safe space for us to explore the difficulties you may be experiencing. Through our mutual commitment and using a collaborative way of working, we will be able to make sense of what you are feeling, allowing you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and find new ways of coping with and responding to your current challenges.
I work with people experiencing various life challenges, such as anxiety, stress, low self worth, family issues, grief and bereavement, relationship difficulties and health concerns. My special interest is in assisting those who want to come to terms with a life changing chronic health condition.
My attitude to my work with clients comes from a warm and genuine interest in people and what makes us tick. I work from a position of acceptance and positive regard toward clients. Your challenges are unique to you and that is why your sessions with me will be carefully tailored for your benefit using a number of therapeutic tools and methods.
