About
When life presents challenges, we often have to face fear, deal with crisis and difficult issues. If our normal coping mechanisms are not enough, this is when we can seek additional support and counselling is often the next step. I trained to become a counsellor as I realised how much I appreciate learning about and listening to the unique life stories of each individual. To be able to sit with clients and work collaboratively to help initiate change, is often a humbling experience and a position in which I feel privileged to be in. Find me on Facebook and Instagram @ elizabethbrowncounselling.
I have had experience of clients with a wide variety of life issues. As a student counsellor at Southampton University, I specialised in working with young people within an academic setting and the pressures this often presents. Recently I completed my BICA (British Infertility Counselling Association) foundation course -a specialist area in my practice.
I provide a safe and confidential space, where I help clients explore some of their difficult issues in a nurturing and supportive way. With an empathic and non-judgemental approach, I aim to build a trusting relationship with every client to encourage and support change. I look forward to meeting you and sharing this onward journey.
