I believe that every person has the innate ability within themselves to grow from whatever challenges life presents to them. Often though, support is needed.
It is my role as a counsellor to help the client identify this ability and provide the right environment, tools and knowledge to find a way forward together. I derive from a range of therapeutic approaches and identify as an integrative therapist. I have a strong foundation in the person-centred approach and use solution focused brief therapy and cognitive behavioural therapeutic tools in my practice.
I have experience in working with young people and adults in the following areas: relationship difficulties, anxiety/stress management, mood regulation, anger management, lack of motivation, assertiveness, overwhelm, self -esteem, self and identity, bereavement, bullying, self-harm, suicide ideation, career and workplace challenges, work/life balance.
The aim of my practice is to adapt to your needs as a client and I endeavour to create ways to improve your situation and empower you in moving forward with confidence. I create a safe non-judgemental environment in which you and I can explore, create new knowledge and ideas to enable you to move forward independently.
