I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and British Psychological Society. I am trained at doctoral level to deliver psychological therapy based on a variety of therapeutic models, I can therefore adapt my approach to suit each client’s unique needs and preferences, whilst also keeping in mind the evidence base for their presenting difficulties. I have over 10 years’ experience working in mental health services, supporting clients with a wide range of mild to severe difficulties in the NHS, private healthcare and third sector organisations.
As an integrative practitioner, I can draw on a broad range of therapeutic models to inform our work together. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), mindfulness based approaches and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
I offer both short-term and long-term psychological therapy to address most mental health difficulties, stress related concerns, as well as interpersonal difficulties and adjustment to major life changes. I have a particular interest in working with depression, relationship difficulties, trauma and psychosexual difficulties.
