Counselling is a space to talk, think and be listened to in confidence with a trained professional who will respect you and your experiences. Life can be challenging especially when we are dealing with difficult or overwhelming feelings. It is often hard to understand the root of one's own pain and perhaps talking to friends and family is too difficult or does not seem to bring about the change and acceptance you seek. For those feeling stuck or isolated, counselling will improve your emotional wellbeing and help you feel more in control of your life, and with the right counsellor it will lead to positive and lasting change.
In a safe and confidential setting, I offer short and long term therapy based on your specific needs. With a decade of experience both within the NHS and in private practice, I work with individuals facing a wide range of complexities; profound depression and anxiety, relationship and sexual issues, trauma, bereavement and existential confusion.
Making contact can often feel like a difficult first step. It is normal to feel nervous and sometimes that anxiety can convince us not to pursue therapy. However, counselling can benefit any individual. Getting in touch is an opportunity to explore the idea of counselling; we all deserve the chance to be heard and understood.
