I’m an experienced therapist, fully accredited with BACP and work with adults, young people and children. I've worked in the private sector, education and community settings covering a wide age range. I also work with private agencies, Employment Assistance Providers and insurance providers. I have a special interest working with teens and have a separate qualification in Counselling Children and Young People. I work with age 8+ years and have over 10 years experience working with under 18s. I'm a recognised therapist with Aviva, AXA and WPA insurance companies.
Common issues I deal with:- Anxiety (including separation anxiety, anxiety based school avoidance & OCD). Relationship & family issues, school and university stress, work stress, burnout, Trauma: childhood sexual abuse and PTSD, loss and bereavement, low mood and depression, low self esteem and feelings of shame. I'm a specialist in working with age 8+.
Regardless of your age or issue I offer skilled therapist support to each client. You will be supported to decide what’s important to work on and have space to process as an individual, child or young person. Parents are included at assessment sessions and will have regular feedback appropriate to client confidentiality.
