As an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist, and an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner, I see my role as first and foremost understanding what each person actually needs. That can look quite different from one client to the next. I aim to offer a space that feels safe and non-judgmental, somewhere you can speak openly, even if you are not quite sure how to put things into words yet.
In terms of how I work, I draw from a range of approaches. This includes cognitive behavioural therapy, person-centred counselling, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), which I often hold within a broader existential perspective. I find that integrating different ways of working can be helpful, as it allows us to find what actually fits
If you are going through something difficult, you do not have to manage it on your own. Reaching out can feel like a big step, perhaps even an uncertain one.
