Feeling like you're drowning in days that should have 50h, but only have 24h? Caught in a loop of overthinking, worry, self-criticism, and a body that's forgotten how to really feel? Maybe you’re feeling stuck - not sure what matters to you, how to spend your precious time, or who you really want to be (not everyone else and their cat!) - especially when all this (gestures around) is happening. And when it all gets too loud, doom-scrolling and hiding away it is - and nothing changes. The anxious millennial condition - the ever-present urgency that won't let you slow down until you crash. I've been there, I get it.

Life can feel like a battlefield when childhood wounds, complex trauma, and the scars of abusive relationships leave their mark. You may find yourself stuck in painful cycles of overthinking every interaction, doubting your self-worth, or repeating patterns that no longer serve you. Perhaps you carry the weight of people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, or an inner voice that never seems to quieten. You might wonder, “Why can’t I just move on?” You’re not alone.

I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I work with adults on a one-to-one basis offering short-term and open-ended talking therapy. I use an integrative approach, which means that I draw from different models and techniques (psychodynamic, CBT and person centred) to best suit your individual needs. My aim is to help you find and change those repetitive unhelpful or destructive patterns in your behaviour and relationships, as well as providing you with a space for personal development, growth and exploration.

Are you feeling overwhelmed or unhappy? Does your life seem unmanageable? Has some event in your life affected the way you feel and function? Do you need someone to listen to you and help you figure out what to do next? Or, do you simply need to explore some ways to make your life more fulfilling? Taking a step towards positive change may be easier than you think.

I offer a non-judgemental, safe environment to help you understand yourself and your life. Counselling can support you to find your own insights, new ways of being with yourself and others, and work towards healing and freedom. It can be a space to get things off your chest, rest or reset, find perspective and understanding in life and relationships, as well as having someone to really hear and be with you as you share and explore what is difficult. My practice is informed by Buddhist philosophy and meditation, which I have been exploring and supporting others with for over 15 years, emphasising embodied awareness and compassion.

I really do love people and their stories and experiences - I always have. I’ve listened to stories without judgement for almost sixty years. Nothing shocks me and nothing surprises me. I’ve heard the saddest of stories as well as the most amazing ones, and I’m so grateful that I have. I would love to listen to your story – to hear about your strengths and weaknesses, your loves and losses, your joys and sorrows. Whatever your reasons for coming to me, I’m here to help. I believe that in everyone, there is a part that thrives, that’s dynamic, strong and so very wonderful.

Are you wearing many different masks, because you long to be accepted? Keeping up the pretence is tiring isn’t it? You really want to be your true self, but somewhere down the line, you concluded that the real you is not good enough, is not worthy to be loved and find happiness. It can take a lot of courage to share your innermost thoughts and feelings with someone, particularly if you have had past experiences, where you did not feel heard or listened to; felt dismissed or your trust was broken. Trust is built over time and I want you to know that we can go at your own pace in therapy. I will accept you for who you are.

I'm a transpersonal integrative psychotherapist, and have provided therapeutic support for clients who have experienced a range of issues including: abuse, childhood neglect, addictions, low self-esteem, self-harm, narcissistic abuse and wounding, weakened sense of self, anxiety, depression, low confidence, and trauma related issues. I am an integrative Psychotherapist who uses various methods and theories from a range of modalities to tailor my style to the individual's needs. I feel that there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to therapy and that each client must be worked with, in an individual manner. I am influenced by Person-Centred and Psychodynamic concepts in my work, as I like to get to the root cause of what is pertinent for the client at present, whilst always remembering that ‘the client is an expert in their own lives’.
