The people I see pursue an assessment as they are experiencing difficulties in their lives and wonder if it may be due to Autism (previously Asperger’s syndrome) or ADHD. An assessment / diagnosis can provide understanding and help work towards change. I have over 19 years of experience of working with adults with Autism / Asperger syndrome and Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) within the NHS and privately as a diagnostician and as a therapist and offer private Diagnostic Assessments for adults with possible Autism / Asperger syndrome and / or ADHD.
I’m a highly specialised Consultant Clinical Psychologist passionate about the needs of neuro divergent clients (ASD/ADHD). I believe a diagnostic assessment should be comprehensive, of high clinical standard whilst also being meaningful, compassionate, help the individual to understand how the diagnosis relates to them and also recognise their strengths
Before embarking on a full diagnostic assessment it is important is to think about the reasons why someone wishes to undertake it. At the end of our first meeting we decide together whether a full diagnostic assessment is likely to be relevant and useful before agreeing to a full assessment.
