I work with adults experiencing psychological or physical distress caused by difficult life experiences. I endeavour to provide a supportive and caring environment for psychological healing and recovery to take place. I will aid a deeper understanding of what is causing or contributing to these difficulties, collaboratively mapping out therapeutic interventions best suited to your needs.
I specialise in trauma & have experience of working with the full spectrum of ways in which trauma can manifest in people’s lives. This may include the more traditional diagnosis of PTSD/C-PTSD or less evident presentations.
Low mood, anxiety, ongoing physical complaints & recurrent relational difficulties can sometimes be deeper rooted in unresolved trauma responses. Working with a trained and skilled clinician can help to ensure the underlying cause of your distress is targeted to aid a more comprehensive recovery.
I have over 17 years' experience & have worked across various clinical specialties. I currently work both privately & in the NHS, for which I am responsible for leading the Clinical Health Psychology Directorate within an Acute Physical Healthcare Trust. I have dedicated my career to a field I am passionately convinced can make a meaningful difference.
