When it is time to talk to someone, finding the right professional is an important step. I specialise in helping people move through traumatic events, loss, and unhelpful patterns (recent and past), towards growth, recovery and freedom. My approach is supportive and respectful. In therapy, I focus on witnessing what you have been through, understanding where you want to get to, and working with you to get the results you are looking for. Please visit my website to see what previous clients have said about our work together.
As a Chartered Psychologist with 13 years' experience, my services are evidence-based and trustworthy. EMDR is my main model of therapy. EMDR is a powerful therapy for overcoming the effects of trauma and related difficulties. I also draw from CBT, ACT and compassion-based approaches to deliver a bespoke and tailored intervention for each client.
Each person’s situation is unique. There is no one-size-fits-all approach; I will be guided by you to make sure you get the help you need. The first step is just a conversation; my initial job is to listen and understand. I will meet you where you are; online, at your convenience. From there, we can work out how to move forward in a way that works for you.

For difficulties related to a specific trauma, I would normally recommend a course of EMDR. EMDR allows us to significantly reduce the emotional intensity related to traumatic memories. Most of my clients describe a significant reduction in anxiety and distress after EMDR. They also find they are able to face places or situations they had been avoiding since the traumatic event occurred.

Different approaches work for different people at different times. The first task of therapy is to get a full picture of what is going on for you: what has led to your difficulties, and what keeps them going. From there, we will consider what approach is most suitable to help you meet your goals, and we will agree on a plan together.
