I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I am a lecturer in Clinical Psychology at the University of Reading, keeping up to date with the lastest research evidence. I am an accredited therapist and supervisor with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and an accredited Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) practitioner. I have additional specialist training in Schema -Focused Therapy and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. I integrate these evidence based models to tailor therapy to you as an individual.
I work with adults, adolescents and couples experiencing a range of difficulties. I specialise in post-traumatic stress disorder, complex PTSD and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). I also work relationally where your difficulties are impacting on the important people in your life. This might include difficulties as a couple, a sibling or a parent.
I worked for 13 years in the NHS, spending several years in a specialist service for post-traumatic stress disorder and complex trauma. I provide specialist psychological assessment for the Police nationally. I started my private practice in 2015 and provide, training and supervision for therapists and expert witness reports for medico-legal purposes.
