I specialise in the psychotherapeutic support of the parents and carers of neurodiverse children / young people pre and post diagnosis, in particular the support of the parents of autistic girls. As well as having lived experience of autism parenting, I have written and researched extensively around the lived experiences of the parents of autistic girls. The support that I offer encompasses both parental mental wellbeing and offering advice and guidance, support with PDA challenges, whether from first suspicions that your child might be autistic, through the journey to diagnosis, with life in-between and beyond.
I am a BACP accredited trauma-informed EMDR and integrative psychotherapist with 15 years of clinical experience in counselling and psychotherapy, and 25 years in the field of autism. I work online and specialise in supporting parents and carers of children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) before and after diagnosis.
I offer a non-judgmental therapeutic space, informed by a deep understanding of the experiences of parents with neurodivergent children. My support is truly bespoke, addressing a wide range of challenges from school refusal to demand avoidance.
