Hi, my name is Helen and I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist. I have over 10 years qualified experience working with children, young people, parents and families. I currently specialise in working with parents. You might be looking for support during pregnancy, after the loss of a baby, help to process your feelings and experiences in becoming a parent, or you might be navigating a difficult time with your family. Whatever stage of parenting you are at, I will work with you to understand your goals and offer a tailored therapy approach based on evidence of what works best.
I completed my Clinical Psychology doctorate at Oxford University in 2013. I have worked extensively in the NHS, including in senior clinical leadership. My experience includes working within maternal mental health, family therapy clinics, community and inpatient camhs, autism/adhd clinics and with fostering and adoptive parents. I am a parent myself.
I have specialist training and experience in a range of approaches including Compassion focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused (Couples) therapy and Systemic therapy. My style is collaborative, neuroaffirming and nonjudgmental. I will welcome you into a space where you can be yourself, and we will focus on what matters to you.
