About
You may experience problems in daily functioning, be it difficulties in private, intimate and/or work relationships, engaging in self-harming, symptoms of anxiety and/or depression, or have experienced physical or emotional trauma which continuously and seriously affect your life. Often experiences from the past and lack of tools can cause emotional turmoil and stress. Purely being human and experiencing fears of the future can push people to their limits. Psychotherapy offers a safe and confidential space in which in which you are accompanied while honestly talking and exploring issues that have not found a suitable space before.
The communication in the therapy room allows both for verbal and non-verbal ways of expressing yourself and includes the body on the journey. When words are inaccessible, working with creative and action methods offers a dynamic way of accessing difficult areas that may have stayed in the dark. I am a trauma-informed practitioner working for recovery.
It is not easy to ask for help and pursue psychotherapy. In the sessions difficult topics, behaviours and emotions are invited to be expressed and non-judgementally looked at. Shame, guilt, anger, fear, lonliness as well as joy and humour are part of therapy. They inform and help us understand where and why things keep going wrong and/or changes can happen.
