I'm really interested in people - who we are and why we become who we are. In order to understand ourselves it can help to talk about ourselves, our experiences and feelings. I can offer a safe, secure and non judgmental space where you can do this. Together we can work out why you have reached a point in your life that may be causing you problems, or why you may be feeling stuck. I work with people who are overwhelmed by their circumstances or feel anxious and depressed and find it difficult to move forward. Counselling can give you an opportunity to examine how you can change and improve your circumstances.
I am an integrative counsellor which means that I have been trained in a variety of counselling theories and practice. My approach will always be to start with you and your experience. By getting to know you and developing our relationship, we will together help make sense of what brings you to counselling.
I work around issues such as anxiety, stress, and loss. I also specialise in relationship issues, and have worked extensively with couples improving how they communicate with each other. As well as couples therapy I am trained in psychosexual therapy and therefore able to deal with any sexual issues that may have arisen in the relationship.
