I work with individuals or couples who are struggling with their lives, who maybe have a history of trauma or family difficulties, and this is still haunting them in their adult roles and relationships. This may manifest in problems online with Internet pornography or inappropriate social media chat. Some may turn to substances as a way of controlling such feelings, like the overuse of alcohol, recreational or prescribed drugs, exercise, or work addictions. I specialise in working with people who are struggling with sexual deviance, sexual offending, and those who have recieved 'the knock' and been charged with a sexual offense.
I use an integrative style of therapy, combining Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with an understanding of attachment issues and a neuropsychological understanding of how the brain works and how that makes us behave. Follow my methods written in my four academic books.
