Not accepting new clients
There are many reasons why someone will seek counselling. Major life changes, even positive ones, can disrupt the balance of everyday life and impact our mental health. Traumas and experiences from our past can intrude on our peace of mind in the present. Bereavement and loss, illness and disability, relationship and work issues can affect our ability to function. Sometimes it feels like we have limited choices and we are unsure of where to turn to for support. Person-centred counselling is a safe and confidential space where you can be yourself and share what is troubling you.
I have worked and volunteered in a variety of different roles that have informed and influenced my counselling. These have included working with autistic people, with vulnerable families and children, with survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence and in a project supporting people with severe and enduring mental health diagnoses.
It can feel like a daunting experience to reach out and seek support from someone you have never met. My biggest priority is to set my clients at ease and to build a trusting relationship - this can only be achieved with honesty, genuineness and openness on my part. I offer a free 30 minute telephone consultation to explore how we may work together.
