I have been a qualified Clinical Psychologist since 2015 and have over 14 years experience working in mental health with children, adults and families. I have worked mainly in the NHS within Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) post qualification and more recently within a higher education setting. I have an interest in working with young people; supporting with the transition to adulthood and helping to navigate the complex journey of identity formation. I offer assessment and intervention to people aged 16 and above and offer parent support too. I am keen to improve accessibility amongst ethnic minority groups.
I tailor the therapy to your individual needs, integrating a range of approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Therapy for trauma and other third wave therapies such a Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). I can also integrate mindfulness in your therapy
A natural human response to distress is to avoid in order to protect. We have all been there, whether it be denying there is a problem or running away from the problem. One of the aims our therapeutic journey would be to stop avoiding and to begin unpacking your thoughts and feelings within a safe, non-judgmental environment with a view to finding solutions.
