About
When life gets tough, where do you go? Who can you talk to? Family and friends can be helpful, but maybe they’re just too close. Or they don't really get what's going on for you. Maybe it's hard for you to talk about - you feel confused, annoyed, afraid or a bit ridiculous. Those internal critics can grind you down, I know how that can be. I am removed from the complexity of your life, whilst holding a real respect and warmth for the person you are, as well as a commitment to the person you want to be. I love what I do and I feel privileged to be trusted with the thoughts and feelings you may never have spoken aloud before.
I use my experience to get a sense of you, checking in to see if you hear what I hear. You’ll find a different picture emerges of a person doing the best they can to adapt to the situation they find themselves in. Smart, courageous, flexible, determined. Sound like you? Maybe not yet, but I have yet to meet someone who doesn’t exhibit those qualities.
Almost everyone says at some point how indulgent this feels when there are surely so many other people with far greater struggles. But what if you taking action to help yourself means you improve life not just for you, but for those around you? We all impact each other – you can choose whether you want your impact to be positive or negative.
