Discrimination and oppression matters- In a world that doesn't feel safe or welcoming for all. LGBTQI + especially transgender clients—may be negotiating the challenges of isolation, identification, relationships, and self-acceptance. A non judgmental , warm and compassionate space , offering understanding, and assistance in examining past and current difficulties maybe what's needed. I can offer a safe space for clients who wish to improve coping mechanisms, build more genuine relationships, and boost a sense of self-worth.
In order to establish safety and trust, I use a person-centered approach, incorporating psychodynamic insights to examine early experiences. Using Gestalt techniques to bring awareness to the present moment and CBT tools to manage unhelpful thoughts and behaviours. When combined, these strategies promote significant and long-lasting change.
Your journey and your story are both important. You deserve a place where your truth is respected and your voice is heard. Therapy can be a safe, healing, and hopeful place.
