Hello, I’m Debbie, a Transactional Analysis (TA) Integrative Psychotherapist, UKCP Acc & Imago Relationship Therapist, offering 1-1, couples and group work. I prefer working with clients face to face but I do work online too. Having worked in mental health services for almost 20 years, I developed significant experience and a passion in helping people with mental health difficulties. In particular, adults and young people struggling with eating disorders or eating difficulties, and obsessive-compulsive behaviours. I am, however, open to working with any difficulty in life you may be facing. I work with adults and young people 16+.
I'm warm and nurturing in my approach and believe everybody has a need to be seen, heard, and validated. I combine my experience, psychoeducational and relational skills into my practice and my main therapeutic modality is TA but I do bring other models into my work. I favour working co-creatively and encourage creativity in the therapy space.
I understand from my personal journey of psychotherapy how difficult it can be to be vulnerable and ask for help. It takes courage and strength to access therapy and reaching out is often the hardest step.
