It is my aim to give complete regard to my client's needs for in-depth interventions rather than fixed session numbers. Some issues resolve quickly . However mental issues and the suffering they cause are often multi-layered and you may have been living with their effects for several years. We can lose sight of our own abilities and strengths; our ability to deal with life's challenges and our ability to respond too to its gifts. You may feel unable to feel.
You are more than a diagnosis. Therefore your treatment has to be tailored and meaningful for you, responsive to your situation and needs. So I work within a person-centred, integrative model. I may use PTSD informed techniques, attachment theory, creative work, ,mindfulness and visualisation and EMDR
We will start by building the strong alliance that comes from respect for our full human potential and our common humanity. There is suffering, yes, but there is also freedom from suffering and its causes.. That is the path I believe we are all on in our individual ways.
