I am a UKCP-accredited Humanistic Psychotherapist with a background in education and the music industry. In addition to my client work, I am a Lecturer in Humanistic Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Brighton. My approach is based on the belief that our past, especially early experiences, shapes who we are today. Exploring these patterns can reveal why we feel stuck or repeat unhelpful behaviours in relationships or work. Humanistic therapy supports greater self-understanding and helps you make choices that align with what truly matters to you. I am also an EMDR-trained practitioner, both online and face-to-face.
My belief is that we all have the resources needed to heal and make changes in our emotional well-being. I provide a down-to-earth counselling style for people who feel they need support to explore themselves or simply a need to be witnessed and heard. I offer the opportunity to talk openly in a trusted, confidential and safe environment.
I have my therapy dog, Paddy, in the room with me when I work with clients. He is a specially bred and trained therapy dog, hypoallergenic, and very gentle.
