I can support people to better understand and then manage the challenges in their life, including anxiety, low mood/depression, relationship issues, challenges in relation to dependents, such as children. I have much experience supporting people with addiction issues, including drug and alcohol use, gambling and sex. I have worked as a Director in a large company and have experience as a qualified executive coach, supporting people manage work stress and improving their performance at work. I support couples as well as individuals.
I have experience and training in the 20+ years since qualifying through BACP and UKCP. This includes Couples Counselling, CBT, mindfulness-based practice, and short-term/solution-focused therapy. I have a training and leaning towards existential psychotherapy, helping people identify the values and purpose in life and the challenges in living authentically.
Building a strong trusting rapport with people is the single most important element of therapy. I believe that I am warm and welcoming. I am interested in understanding your worldview and help you overcome your challenges. I offer remote therapy via Zoom or MS Teams. I can also offer (1 hour) walking therapy within the Wedmore area in Somerset.
