My goal working with clients is always to provide a judgement free space, where you can come into contact with parts of yourself that seldom get seen or acknowledged. Enabling awareness of yourself in relation to the events of your life, and how new emergent choices can empower you moving forward.
I can work with a range of presenting issues, from mental health issues (such as anxiety and depression) to neurodiversity. Equally I have experience of working with clients who come from a wide range of backgrounds, specifically those from the LGBTQ+ community.
As an integrative counsellor (integrative meaning, I am trained in different modalities and apply them accordingly), my training emphasises the related experience of the therapeutic relationship that would ground our work. I am trained specifically in Gestalt, Psychodynamic and CBT modalities of treatment, which will be applied to your specific needs.
Coming into therapy is a big step in life. It will take you to parts of yourself that may feel difficult, daunting even. I commend you for starting this process for yourself, and I do not take for granted the trust placed in me to do this with you. A core tenant to my approach is to offer you a compassionate and relational space for reflection and growth.
