About
Feeling depressed or anxious? Need to make a change? Taking the first steps to get help can be daunting. This is why I always offer therapy in an emotionally supportive and empathetic manner to help you to achieve the changes that you are looking for. As a psychologist I work with the processes of change; though change is never easy, it’s always worthwhile. I’m fully trained in a diverse range of therapies. This means when we first meet for your assessment consultation, we can consider which approaches may be the best fit for you & therefore the most effective, ensuring you a unique and individualised treatment plan.
I am an integrative therapist which means that I am able to draw on a number of theoretical models and techniques in order to provide therapy that is tailored to your specific, individual needs. I have found this to be highly successful in supporting clients with a wide range of difficulties. I have lived-experience of mental health issues.
I am an experienced, fully qualified Counselling Psychologist, chartered with the British Psychological Society and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. I am the lead psychologist at Beacon Therapy, based in the heart of Northumberland. I have many years post qualifying clinical experience gained in both NHS and private sector settings.
