I offer psychodynamic therapy. The therapy will help you gain deeper insight and will offer deep, lasting change by addressing the root causes of your problems. I believe that pain manifests in different ways for everyone, and there are usually underlying, earlier experiences to think about. Making sense of this and becoming more aware of our internal world can help us feel less stuck. Through therapy, we can together understand and work through your pain, which can help you lead a more fulfilling life.
I have experience working within the criminal justice system with those who feel deeply distressed and who have very traumatic experiences. I aim offer compassion regardless of your background and difficulties and I hope this makes you feel at ease if you are struggling to start therapy.
It is is important that you feel comfortable with the therapist you choose. My aim is to provide you with a safe and containing space in order for you to communicate your experiences. The therapeutic relationship we develop is the most significant aspect of our work together and can help us make sense of your inner world.
