I provide a safe, affirming therapeutic space for you the client to explore your world . Counselling can be emotional support for day to day struggles with low mood and anxious feelings, or historical work through trauma, childhood and relational experiences. If you are at a crossroad in your life, as your counsellor, I will stand alongside you, providing unconditional positive regard and help you to discover your strength from within. Understanding and acceptance of all aspects of ourselves including who we once were, and who we are now, can provide the opportunity for growth into the most authentic version of yourself.
My work is person-centred, at its core, exploring without judgement. This could be through talking therapy or creative working. Sessions are collaborative, meaning we will work together establishing which approach suits your journey. I work in an integrative way, using approaches such as trauma informed ,psychodynamic, somatic and attachment therapies.
Taking the steps to seek some support or assistance with your emotional well-being can require a lot of inner strength, acknowledging our own needs and feelings can be difficult. However, sessions are tailored to you, enabling you to work at your own pace. When we have the ability to understand the ghosts of our pasts, we are no longer haunted by them.
