Hi, my name is Dami. I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I offer a counselling relationship that is safe and non-judgemental, within which you can explore issues that brought you into therapy. With warmth, empathy and respect, I will create the conditions to help you feel empowered to take control of your own wellbeing and transformation. I will support you to increase your own understanding of self and guide you to find solutions which are right for you, rather than giving you advice or tell you what to do.
I offer various types of counselling depending on your needs and resources. I offer short-term and longer-term counselling sessions, along with Single Session Therapy (also known as One-at-a-time therapy) and REWIND technique. I adopt a person-centred approach and I also consider my work to be trauma informed.
I was born in South Korea and have moved to the UK when I was young. I have extensive experience working as a counsellor in various settings such as, private online mental health platform, university counselling service, local primary schools, and nation-wide charities.
