“Where things become truly difficult and unbearable, we find ourselves in a place already very close to its transformation." (Rainer Maria Rilke)
Psychotherapy is an opportunity for you to explore aspects of yourself, your situation and relationships. Through our regular meetings I’ll support you in looking at and making sense of your experiences, feelings and needs. As we work towards your therapeutic goals some clarity will emerge.
With interpretation and fresh viewpoints, you can move through any hurt, loss or confusion of the past.

I understand that sometimes life may feel overwhelming. We face challenges such as bereavement, relationship changes, anxiety, self esteem issues that perhaps are helpful to explore in a safe non judgemental space. To have dedicated time for you to voice your thoughts and feelings, to think about goals and what you want to use the sessions for.

Have you found your therapist just yet? It can seem daunting to some with so many to choose from, how do you select correctly? In order to work successfully on your issues its really important to get a good connection with your therapist. Studies tell us that this can lead to better outcomes. Imagine trying to build a relationship and form trust if you do not get along with that person, its probably not going to end well so trust your gut instinct when you reach out, try having a telephone call or video call, monitor how you feel.

People come to therapy for different reasons. Some have specific moments/life events that they wish to discuss in a safe, open space where they can express their feelings fully with someone who is neutral and non-judgemental. Some are seeking support with issues that are impacting upon their daily lives (such as anxiety, depression, OCD etc). Others may not be sure exactly why they are coming, but they want to speak to someone in order to make sense of their thoughts, offload or clear their mind. Whatever your reason for seeking therapy, I provide a safe, confidential space to explore what you are bringing.

People usually seek therapy because they have reached a crisis point in their life and are struggling to cope alone. This can lead to feeling stuck or creating unhelpful behaviour patterns to cope which present them from living life to their full potential. We often feel confused, anxious, depressed, emotionally numb or trapped in our past without clear goals in life or clear identity. I can offer you a safe space to explore better internal understanding which promotes self awareness, personal growth and inner peace which enables you to feel full of hope and clarity to achieve personal success.

I believe every relationship carries a unique story, shaped by culture, family, faith, trauma, personality, and the nervous system. When couples struggle, it’s rarely because they don’t care — it’s because something in their system has become overwhelmed, unheard, or unprotected.
I create a space where both partners can slow down, feel safe, and truly hear each other — not just with their ears, but with their hearts and nervous systems. My work is gentle, direct, and respectful of each person’s story.
Whether you’re navigating conflict, emotional distance, communication breakdowns, cultural differences, or the impact of trauma.

Welcome to my profile, I'm assuming things are not feeling 'ok' for you at the moment and that may have even been the case for some time now. It takes courage to reach out for support whether you feel your concern is miner or so huge you just don't know what to do about it. Maybe you have suffered a loss of some kind , had a dramatic change or event happen in your life, you may be struggling with relationship issues or low mood, low self-esteem or anxiety or you may just be finding it hard to function in everyday life. Whatever your concern, sometimes its helpful to talk to an impartial person in a safe space.

I have worked within fostering and adoption, Couple and family Counselling, Bereavement and Youth Counselling. My experience comes from having worked within a variety of family and child settings, a counselling service for young people, a hospice as a bereavement counsellor, and supporting couples in their relationships. I work with families who foster and the secondary trauma that they can also experience. Although I have been trained in the psychodynamic approach, I work using other models to best suit and help individuals explore and become aware of blocks in their lives, working towards making changes.
