Hello and welcome. Sometimes life just doesn't go the way we would like it to go, with the everyday struggles that can sometimes just feel too much. At times the challenges of life can make us feel out of control, leaving us feeling lost, anxious, scared, depressed or even angry. At Footsteps counselling, I offer a safe and confidential space that will allow you to work through your struggles and explore your thoughts and feelings in a calm, confidential and supportive setting. I can help you to gain insight and understanding on what it is that may be making you feel the way you do, and help you through those difficult times.
As a counsellor with CBT influence I can adapt sessions to the current issues you bring, often using person-centred, psychodynamic & attachment. Additional training keeps up to date with new techniques including mindfulness, ACT. I work with adult clients, young adults and for primary children using creative, play, and adaption of CBT for younger children.
I have a special interest in working with people experiencing trauma, sexual abuse, chronic pain, or debilitating health issues that often lead to anxiety and depression.
