Hello. My name is Debbie. Welcome to Crookes Counselling. I have a breadth of experience working with adults and young people aged 16 - 19 years having managed a counselling service in a Further Education college in Preston, Lancashire for 10 years. Recently retired I moved to Sheffield to be near family. I have worked extensively with most issues that clients bring but particularly anxiety, depression and relationship difficulties. Although I usually work from my home in Crookes, from w/c 3rd June until further notice I will be working from The Practice Rooms in Broomhill.
I believe in offering a relationship which has, at its heart, a respect for the individual and a willingness to listen in a non-judgemental way. I trust you have the answers to the situation or difficulties you are experiencing; by understanding yourself & your situation in a clearer way, you will hopefully feel empowered to make the right choices for you.
Accessing counselling can feel a daunting prospect. I will do all I can to help you feel at ease with what you want to share. I am happy to answer any questions you may have or discuss how counselling may be helpful by email / telephone. I can also offer a half hour session for you to explore if counselling is right for your situation.
