Hi, my name is Karen. I gained my qualification in counselling and psychotherapy many years ago in 1997. I was privileged to attend an accredited course at Salford college. I also acquired certificates in sociology, psychology, child psychology, criminology, and hypnotherapy. Alongside the hypnotherapy certificate, I completed workshops in dream therapy, sex therapy, and inner child work. Over the years I have specialised in inner child work, and have witnessed many positive outcomes from using this technique. Since qualifying, I have worked with a diverse range of issues, of which no problem is too big or too small.

I currently offer online audio/video, or face to face sessions in my home, or yours, pending travel time. My hours are flexible, day or evening. I aim to offer an appointment within one week. I don't do block bookings. You are in control of if and when you want a further session. I can only advise. I provide one hr, or 30 min sessions to suit your timetable.

My aim is to connect with you before making a decision to book a session, so I offer a free 15min consultation. For 26yrs now I have worked as a counsellor, in prisons, schools, and a domestic violence centre, alongside my private practise. I have dealt with a multitude of different issues, and individuals. Whatever the issue, there is a root to it. I like to dig out the root, going at your pace. Once the root is found, I then advise that we work with it, without too much intrusion. For instance, the incident dosnt need to be looked at in depth, as long as the client understands how it has affected them. I aim to work through the aftermath of the baggage, using techniques such as inner child work.
