I am an experienced accredited therapist, supervisor and clinical lead (NHS); qualified to work therapeutically with children, adults and couples. I have a real interest in working with family relationships. Growing up can sometimes feel as if it needs to be navigated rather than enjoyed, both for the child/young person and for the parents. I truly appreciate the struggles (and joys) of life with children and the stresses it can place on family relationships.
I work in a neuroaffirming and trauma focussed way and strive to include the differences that arrive in the therapy room. I want my clients to come as they are.
I can support and facilitate communication in relationship therapy to allow a space to explore difficult topics.
For children and young people I can offer a space to explore their emotions, perhaps using creativity. Others prefer to learn techniques, such as ways to calm a racing brain or to distract from difficult thoughts.
I work on line or an office base. An initial session is used to try to understand what brings you here and to think about what you would like to change or understand better. I like to adapt my approach to fit what you need, perhaps working creatively may help if it’s sometimes hard to talk or perhaps you’d like some techniques to try at home.
