My name is Claire Young and I am a qualified and accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist & EMDR Therapist. I have been working in the field of mental health for over 15 years as a registered mental health nurse within the NHS. I currently continue to practice within the NHS as a Psychotherapist in addition to my private practice.
I specialise in treating trauma, including PTSD and C-PTSD, anxiety disorders and depression using evidence based Psychotherapy. I am an accredited CBT and EMDR therapist, I am also trained in Schema Therapy and integrate Polyvagal Theory, Parts Work and Internal Family Systems into the therapy I deliver. I have a collaborative and goal oriented approach. Sessions are provided within a private clinic setting or online on a one to one basis. Home visits can be agreed where there is clinical need at an additional cost.
