Hello. I am a child and adult psychotherapist and EMDR Therapist.
Often people don't fully understand why they feel bad and this can lead to confusion and feeling ashamed. The feelings are experienced throughout the whole body and can be so overwhelming. I help clients understand how things are for them right now, validate their challenges and help them see their unique strengths, all within the context of an accepting and compassionate relationship.
I am experiened in supporting people who are LGBTQ including transgender, and people who are neurodivergent (ADHD, Autism, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia).
I am an Integrative therapist which means I offer a variety of evidenced based approaches to help heal, including talking therapy, psycho education, body soothing strategies and Mindfulness. I also offer EMDR, which is an effective trauma therapy. In addition to my Psychotherapy training, I have trained in ADHD coaching, Compassion Focussed Therapy and EMDR.
I offer young children therapeutically informed play therapy to help them process their emotions and difficulties. I also meet with parents or guardians to help them to support their children.
I offer long and short term therapy.
I work with people in Birmingham and Malvern and online.
