It could be you have recently hit a tough time in your life and need a space to make sense of it. It might be that a relationship has become difficult; with your partner, at work with colleagues, with your children or close family members. You may be suffering symptoms of anxiety and depression and you are finding it harder to function in daily life. It may be that you are transitioning from one stage to another in your life; leaving home, starting a family or approaching retirement and you need somewhere to work through some of the feelings of anxiety, fear and uncertainty that such a change can bring.
I am an experienced Psychodynamic Counsellor and work with both individuals and groups. I trained in the Psychodynamic approach at Brighton University and I have studied Group Psychotherapy with the IGA (Institute of Group Analysis). I am also a trained practitioner of “Brainspotting”, an exciting new brain-body therapy treatment method deriving from EMDR.
I aim to offer a safe, respectful and non-judgmental space, where clients can expect to be treated with compassion and empathy. I offer an introductory session where you can ask any questions you might have about counselling and my practice to help you to in decide whether I might be the right counsellor for you at this time.
