I have a caring nature, supporting adults and young people through life changes, experiences of loss, and difficult choices. Events in life from both the present and past, can often bring a mix of unwelcome emotions, thoughts, feelings and coping mechanisms.
My approach is calm, whilst I offer in my counselling sessions the therapeutic benefit of being heard and understood, as you process how you truly feel. Being heard, allows you to develop insight to recognise your world, in a new way.
My experience includes working with loss and change across a range of relationships, including family, friendships, education, health and independence, sports teams, work, sense of belonging and purpose, and significant experience with bereavement.
I also assist Cruse Bereavement and Carers of West Lothian, as a Counsellor. I have previously worked in the airline industry, the beginnings of my interest in listening to and connecting with people. I provide in-person appointments in Livingston.
