Hello - I'm Claire, an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist. Mental health difficulties can be viewed as responses to painful experiences in life that any of us might go through – sometimes these are large events in our lives, sometimes they are a build-up of ‘smaller’ difficulties. For this reason, I work with people experiencing a wide range of symptoms and diagnoses (for example: anxiety, OCD, depression, psychosis, addiction, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, emotional eating, etc) - because our work will help resolve the root cause of the symptoms.
I have over 11 years’ experience working in mental health. I’m trained in a variety of models and use an integrated approach, depending on the person and their needs and preferences. This might typically include therapy models such as: EMDR; CFT; ACT; DBT; CAT or CBT.
I’m down-to-earth, warm and non-judgmental, and I take a collaborative approach in therapy. You are the expert in your life, and I bring the psychological theory and therapy models that will help us make the changes you are looking for.
