My name is Egita, and I'm a trauma-informed therapist working within a person-centred approach. I am drawn to working with adults who have experienced trauma and childhood sexual abuse. People who have survived sexual abuse may experience anger, fear, shame, guilt, thinking that it’s all my fault. You might feel “you do not matter” or feeling worthless. Experiencing anxiety, panic and flashbacks can make you feel stuck or unsure of yourself, finding it difficult to form trusting relationships with others. Having counselling, can help you understand what has happened to you, your thoughts, feelings you are going through right now.
I am a qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy- BACP. I work in the Person-centred way and incorporate other therapeutic methods to suit your individual needs. I follow BACP ethical framework to ensure I work professionally, safely and ethically.
I have undertaken specialised training in trauma therapy to enable me to work with adults who have survived sexual abuse. As a strong believer in Humanistic approach, I will focus on your needs. Working together I can help you to work on things that you are experiencing/going through, and help you to move forward in life in a more positive way.
