Hi, I am a counsellor to individuals, couples and also a clinical supervisor. Counselling and psychotherapy approach, increase a person's feelings of self-worth, enabling them to find their own way to move forward and to progress. I offer private counselling sessions in Leeds and surrounding areas. My experience in providing counselling for a wide range of issues including stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, bullying, childhood issues, bereavement and relationship difficulties, allows me to work with adults, both male and female, as well as couples, other counsellors, and student counsellors.
Prior to counselling I was cardiac nurse and later a health visitor for children under the age of five. I also hosted a death and dying bereavement cafe at the Drighlington Health Hub prior to Covid, I plan to continue hosting this service when we able to once again gather together indoors within a group setting.
Person centred counselling provides the right conditions for you to be able to talk about your situation and to be listened to in a caring and non-judgemental way. I will not give advice nor tell you what to do but I will help you to look at how you can solve your problems in a way that works for you, as an individual.
