About
I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Lead heading up a private practice of psychologists and therapists. I have over 15 years experience of working in mental health. Clinical Psychologists differ from psychotherapists as we are trained at doctoral level using a wide range of approaches, as well as carrying out our own research. This ensures that we are able to keep abreast of the most up to date theories and research and integrate this into our work. It also allows us to draw upon various theories and approaches when helping you to think about what approach is right for you and why.
I can provide comprehensive assessments, which allows us to develop a treatment plan which is tailored to you. I am trained in lots of approaches, which means that I am used to adapting treatments to meet your specific needs. I have extensive experience of working with complex issues and long-standing problems, which are difficult to shift.
A large part of therapy is about the relationship that you develop. It is really important that you feel that you are well matched with whoever you work with. I offer free initial telephone consultation to anyone looking to work with me. If you are interested in working with me please do get in touch to set this up.
